 Grooming Agreement

Drop-off & Clean: I acknowledge my responsibility to maintain direct control of my pet while on the premises. This entails securing my pet in a kennel/carrier or using a leash held by an adult. Prio to the appointment, I will ensure that my pet has had a recent walk. In the event that my pet requires a bathroom break on or near the property, I understand that it is my responsibility to clean up after them using my own poop bags or by requesting one from the establishment.

Health & Current Vaccinations: BY signing this agreement, I affirm that my pet is current on all required vaccinations and, to the best of my knowledge, is in good health. I acknowledge that grooming can be a stressful experience for some pets, and I will disclose any heart conditions or stress-related issues my pet may have prior to the grooming session. I understand the importance of maintaining up-to-date vaccinations for my pet before each grooming appointment.

Please be advised that grooming procedures can be particularly stressful for senior or unwell pets. Additionally, grooming may reveal underlying medical conditions or exacerbate existing ones during or after the session. Due to the increased risk of injury for pets with special needs or illnesses, grooming services may be tailored for cleanliness and comfort, or may be declined altogether.

In the best interest of your pet, this agreement will grant this establishment permission to obtain immediate veterinary treatment for your pet should it be deemed necessary. We will make every effort to contact you first, and then take your pet to the veterinarian of our choice, which may or may not be your veterinarian on file. It is agreed that all expenses for veterinary care will be covered by the pet’s owner upon signing this agreement..

Aggressive Behavior: I understandPlease be advised that it is mandatory to inform our establishment if your pet has a history of biting, aggression towards individuals, other pets, or specific grooming procedures. We may employ the use of a muzzle if deemed necessary, ensuring the safety of both your pet and our groomers. Muzzling poses no harm to your pet and serves as a protective measure for all parties involved. Our establishment reserves the right to decline or discontinue services for pets exhibiting aggressive behavior at any stage of the grooming process. A special handling fee may be applied in addition to the standard grooming charges. Kindly note that you bear full responsibility for any medical expenses or damages resulting from injuries to our groomers, staff, other animals, or damage to our equipment caused by your pet.

Coat Condition: I Please be aware that this establishment prioritizes the comfort of your pet above all else. Additional attention is required during grooming sessions for pets with matted coats. In the event that your pet’s coat is matted, the groomer may need to shave the mats out instead of performing a potentially painful dematting procedure. Please understand that there is an increased risk of clipper burn, nicks, or cuts occurring if your pet is severely matted. While every effort will be made to prevent these issues, they may be unavoidable in extreme cases. Additionally, heavy matting can trap moisture and urine near the pet’s skin, creating an environment conducive to the growth of mold, fungus, or bacteria. This can lead to skin irritations that may not have been visible prior to the grooming process. After effects of mat removal procedures may include itchiness, skin redness, self-inflicted irritations or abrasions, and potential failure of the hair to regrow. Furthermore, shaved pets are susceptible to sunburn and should be kept out of direct sunlight until their hair grows sufficiently to provide adequate protection. In some cases, pets may also exhibit brief behavioral changes. I also understand that matted pets take additional time to groom, so there may be an additional dematting fee added on to the regular grooming price if my pet’s coat is matted.

Accidents: Our grooming services involve the use of sharp equipment, and despite our utmost care and caution, there is a potential risk of injuries such as cuts, nicks, scratches, or quicking of nails. We prioritize the safety of your pet and will make every effort to ensure a safe grooming experience. However, in the unfortunate event of an accident that necessitates veterinary attention, your pet will be promptly taken to the nearest veterinarian of our choice.

In such cases, reimbursement of medical care expenses and any potential discounts on future services will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. We appreciate your understanding and trust in our commitment to providing the best possible care for your pet.

Contagious Illnesses, Fleas, or Parasites:

Please be informed that it is mandatory to disclose any health concerns, including fleas, parasites, ticks, infections, or other contagious conditions, to our establishment before bringing your pet to our location. Kindly understand that if our groomer determines the existence of any undisclosed condition during the grooming process, we may be compelled to halt the services, contact you regarding the issue, and promptly send your pet back home. Additionally, you will be liable to pay the standard grooming fee even if the services remain incomplete due to such undisclosed conditions. Furthermore, an additional cleaning fee may or may not be charged on top of the regular grooming price.

Cancellation Policy: Kindly be informed that any rescheduling or cancellation of appointments requires at least 24 hours’ notice. This consideration allows us to make the time available to other clients on our waiting list. Regrettably, missing two appointments without prior notice may result in a mandatory non-refundable deposit before future appointments or potential refusal of further services.

Late & No-Show Policies: By booking an appointment, I acknowledge the importance of respecting the groomer’s time and understand that this is a business conducted by appointment only. I am aware that I am obligated to inform the establishment in advance if I anticipate being late. If I arrive more than 15 minutes past my scheduled appointment time, I understand that I risk forfeiting my appointment or experiencing a change in service, subject to the availability of the groomer. Additionally, the establishment reserves the right to apply an additional fee to the standard grooming price at its discretion. In the event that I fail to show up for my appointment without prior notification, I acknowledge that I may be charged the full amount for the scheduled service and will not be permitted to rebook an appointment until the outstanding balance is settled. Furthermore, I understand that once I am notified that my pet is ready for pickup, I have a 1-hour grace period to arrive. If I exceed this timeframe, I may incur an additional daycare fee.

SALON POLICIES

Our objective is to deliver the safest and most pleasurable grooming experience for you and your beloved pets. We are committed to maintaining a hygienic and secure grooming environment, utilizing only professional, top-tier products and equipment. The following policies have been implemented to guarantee the safety and contentment of your pets while under our care. These policies are subject to change, but we make every effort to inform our valued clients of any significant modifications.

  • Hey, here are some things to keep in mind when you bring your pet to us:
  • - Make sure your pet is in a secure kennel or on a leash when you drop them off.
  • - Please walk your dog before their appointment. If they need to go potty on our property, clean up after them. We have poop bags if you need them.
  • - Let us know if you’re running late. If you’re more than 15 minutes late, we might have to change your appointment or charge you an extra fee.
  • - If you don’t show up for your appointment and don’t let us know, you might be charged for the full price of the appointment. You won’t be able to book another appointment until you pay for the missed one.
  • - When we tell you your pet is ready for pickup, you have an hour to come and get them. If you’re late, we might charge you a daycare fee.
  • If you need to change your appointment time or cancel it, it is required that you give at least a 24 hour notice so that the appointment time can be made available to another client who is on our waiting list.
  • If you miss two appointments without giving a 24 hour notice, you will be required to pre-pay a non- refundable deposit prior to scheduling any future appointments or may be refused any future service.

GROOMING PROCESS:

  • All pets must be bathed as part of the grooming process. This is not only for the well-being of your pet, but also to ensure that our grooming tools are not damaged.
  • Unless your pet requires a prescribed medicated shampoo, we will use our own products and cannot accept pet parent-supplied products.
  • If at any point during the grooming process it is determined that your pet cannot be safely groomed for any reason, services will be halted and you will be contacted to pick them up.
  • Ear hair removal is a standard part of the grooming process for dogs that require it. If you prefer not to have your pet’s ear hair removed or if your veterinarian has advised against it, please inform us when you drop off your pet.
  • Anal glands may be expressed if it is deemed necessary. If you prefer not to have this done, please let us know at drop-off.

COAT CONDITION:

  • We put your pet’s comfort above all else.
  • Pets with matted coats require extra attention during their grooming session. In the event your pet’s coat is matted, the groomer may have to shave the matts out rather than perform a painful dematting procedure. If your pet is severely matted, there is an increased risk for clipper burn, nicks, or cuts to occur. All attempts will be made to prevent this, however in many extreme conditions, it is unavoidable. Heavy matting can also trap moisture and urine near the pet's skin allowing mold, fungus, or bacteria to grow, causing skin irritations that existed prior to the grooming process that may not have been visible. After effects of mat removal procedures can include itchiness, skin redness, self-inflicted irritations or abrasions and failure of the hair to re-grow. Shaved pets are also prone to sunburn and should be kept out of the sun until the hair grows sufficiently to protect the skin. In some cases pets may also exhibit brief behavioral changes. Matted pets take additional time to groom, so there may be an additional dematting fee added on to the regular grooming price if your pet’s coat is matted.

HEALTH & BEHAVIOR:

  • Your pet(s) should always be current on all necessary vaccinations, and be healthy to your knowledge.
  • If your pet is in need of medical attention, we reserve the right to bring them to a Vet of our choice. All medical expenses will be covered by the pet’s owner unless informed otherwise.
  • You MUST inform us if your pet bites, has bitten, or is aggressive to people, other pets, or specific grooming procedures.
  • If we deem it necessary for the safety of your pet and us, a muzzle may be used.
  • We may refuse/stop services for such pet(s) at any time before, during, or after the grooming process should the pet exhibit aggressive behavior.
  • A special handling fee may be added in addition to the regular grooming charges if your pet is excessively aggressive or anxious and requires extra care and attention.
  • The pet parent is fully liable for any medical care expenses and damages that result from injuries to groomers, staff, other animals, or damage to equipment.
  • You required to disclose any heath concerns including fleas, parasites, ticks, infections, or other contagious conditions prior to bringing your pet(s) to this establishment.
  • If the groomer determines that there is any condition that was not disclosed prior to grooming, services may be halted, you will be contacted about the concern, and the pet(s) will be sent home immediately. You may also be charged the regular grooming price if your pet arrives with any of these conditions, even if services were not completed, and may or may not be charged an additional clean- up fee.

ACCIDENTS:

  • There is always the possibility that an accident could occur. Grooming equipment is sharp, even though we use extreme caution and care in all situations, possible injuries could occur including cuts, nicks, scratches, quicking of nails, etc. Every effort will be made to ensure your pet is groomed as safely as possible. In the event of an accident that requires Veterinarian attention, your pet will be brought to the closest Vet of our choice. Reimbursement of medical care expenses and discounted services will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
